There are two options for getting a vaccination. You can schedule an appointment or you can go to a walk-in site. There is no central sign up for all vaccination sites. There are many sites in Maryland where you can walk in with no appointment. 

To make an appointment to get a vaccination near you, there are both internet and phone options available.

National COVID-19 Vaccination Assistance Hotline: 1-800-232-0233, Call center representatives can provide information in English, Spanish and many other languages about where to get the vaccine. There is also a TTY line for callers who are hearing impaired.

Your county health department may also have vaccination sites and you can call them directly. 



Giant Food: Giant Food is accepting walk-ins for COVID-19 vaccines every Monday and Thursday from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. at all 152 Giant Pharmacy locations throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Delaware with no appointment needed. You can also schedule an appointment online.

CVS Pharmacy: is offering COVID-19 vaccines to walk-ins. You can also check availability and schedule an appointment online.

Rite Aid Pharmacy: Schedule an appointment online. Please note that only certain locations are accepting children ages 12-18.

Walgreens Pharmacy: Walgreens is offering the Pfizer vaccine to ages 12+. Schedule an appointment online.

Walmart: Walmart is offering the COVID-19 vaccine in all of their pharmacies in the U.S. on a walk-in basis or by appointment. Schedule an appointment online.

Sam’s Club: Sam’s Club is offering the COVID-19 vaccine in all of their pharmacies in the U.S. on a walk-in basis or by appointment. Schedule an appointment online. You do not need to be a Sam’s Club member to get the vaccine there.


Other options for Maryland:

You can join the Maryland Vaccine Hunters Facebook page for tips or help. Put “I need help” as a comment on the Facebook page. A volunteer will message you back.

MD Vaccine Updates is a site that monitors availability at local sites.  Vaccines are tracked at pharmacies (CVS and Walgreens), grocery stores (Giant, Walmart), hospitals, and mass vaccine centers like M&T Stadium and the Baltimore Convention Center. 


Hopkins Clinics

Weekly clinics are scheduled during the summer at many Hopkins locations. The COVID-19 vaccine will be available for free to JHU staff, contractors, students and faculty. COVID-19 leave is available for staff to use. Find up-to-date times and locations about Upcoming Vaccine Clinics at Hopkins.

Don't wait! Vaccinate! JHU is offering free, convenient, on-campus COVID vaccine clinics. The university is hosting a series of clinics at which JHU faculty, staff, students, and contractors can receive a COVID-19 vaccine at no cost. Clinics will be scheduled weekly through most of the summer.
